The weather was showery on both days,. but despite this there was a very good attendance, and an increase m the totalisator returns was the . result. The racing was fairly interesting, and is dealt with m., our News and Notes columns. The new secretary of the club, Mr A. Way, carried out his multifarious duties m a manner which left nothing to be desired; and the thanks of the press writers are due to Mr H. Hunt, who did all m his power to lighten the tasks of the sporting writers porese-nt at the fixture. Waihuka and Dulclnea each won doubles, and A. Oliver, the Fellding light-weight, was up on five winners during the two days. The handicapping of Mr G. Morse was very satisfactory.
