One prisoner wtoo stood his trial at the Ohristcfouroh Supreme Court challenged every juror who wore tan boots. Slade Murray, the man who makes people laugh at Fullers', has perpernetuated his song "Balaclava," by*pufcting it into a private phonograph here m Wellington. Strange to" say, the Edison. Go., of Grower* Street, London, engaged Slade to sin? some stuff into their 'phones.-Slad-3 gave them his original Balaclava, of which he was composer, author, and singer, hut the company wanted funny stuff, and Balaclava," although admitted to he an excellent record, was never reproduced. It has found light at last, however, but as it is m a private phonograph helonging to a towny of Slade's, the public are not likely to hear it.
