SAILORS' REST.
On Monday night the sailors attending; this popular institution were given an entertainment, organised' by Mrs C. E. . Richardson, daughter-in-law of the Hon. the Edward , Richardson, C.M.G-., President of the Committee of Management of the \ Rest. Items, each of which was encored, were given by the Misses Ric-. hardson ('daughters of the President) and Warren, Mrs C. E. Richardson, and Messrs Baliance, Newton, Otterson, Kerr, Warren, and Krusch. Mr Watts gave an exhibition of lightning portrait drawing m chalk. Mr Wear© (Superintendent) also made a drawing of two cats on the tiles m the moojilig-ht.
