Over twenty years ago a work-girl had her seat pulled from under her by a larky comrade, and, falling with her head against an 'iron Wheel, became blind. Twelve years later she fell downstairs, cutting her head m the old spot, and on rising cried, "Oh ! mother, I can see !" So she could, but next day became blind again, and remained sightless for a further ten-'yeatrs. Recently she again fell, receiving a terrible blow on the snot where" the skull had been pared, . followed by pains almost unbearable. Some days later her sight returned with startling ' suddenness, and now she can see to read fairly well, aiid is said to be on the road to complete recovery.
