THE NONPAREIL CYCLING CARNIVAL.
The Nonpareil Bicycle Club's annual cycling carnival, to be held at the Athletic Park next Saturday, commencing at 2 p.m., promises to be the largest and best attended cycle meeting of the season. The follow- j New Zealand champions are competing :— Mr Mehrtens, Australasia's champion road racer, being the winner of' fastest time for Dunlop races, both m New Zealand and Australia, G-. Stevens and F. Nattrass, the brilliant sprinters, are also competing ; m addition to these Messrs G-oodbe-here, Dawson, Fisher and Wilton, the Wellington favorites, are competing m the running events. A ladies race will be another interesting feature of the programme, and Jupp's brass band will be m attendance. If time will permit the committee will arange to give a motor display on an 8 h.p. motor cycle. ' .
