V ; Dear Sir, — It is with great pleasure I write to thank you m saving my, wife's life, ! after a long and painful illness. She was suffering witlfan'dnternal growth, with a very bad attack of pilesj and asthma. It has cost.nie at -lot 'of money for diffeTrent medicines ; they have done not the least good, and at'l^Sfc&tia'gofcso; bad that the doctor said ha could do no moreior her, and we were to let heV:hate .anything she fancied, as she r could not last many days. 'But, a friend of mine that was under, your care told me to try sind ! see if you could do her any good. She called to lief ybti know of the case, and you called. I told you the doctor/wanted to'operate on' her, but- you said nothing of the sort— that you would promise to have her '-out ■'Of;.her v be,d^ again. I can only thank the Ahiighty that He has given you the power and abilities ft^dcras you have done ; for. Ido not believe there is another man under the sun that could" have dqno the same, for -my wife is up and about her work again. \ I could neverhave believed it had I hive been toW by anyone else. It is a most wonderful cure, and I feel sure she would not have been hei-e now if it had not been for you. Hopingyournay be spared for the: benefit; of the publio at large. You can make any use of this you may think fit, and anyone wishing further proof can get it by applying at 104 Tinakari-road. • My wife's ago is over 75 years, and that was very much against her. Ido not know how to express my gratitude for your kindness. I have also to thank you for the cufe ; ;of . two of my daughters, with different complaints ; and one of them (Mrs. Philp) is well and strong again, and. tho otber (Mrs. Ganaway) is improving wonderfully. Wishing you every success. My wife joins me m thanking you. :■■ ., \ ' I am, yours faithfully, . , ALFRED -MATTHEWS, , . 104 ,Tinakori-road, Wellington. -' ,:■ '■■ : .:!'■ ■' ■ i Successfully Combatting Disease. — A 'newspaper representative who recently visited the consulting rooms of Mr. F. Webb, herbal specialist, of this city, gained some idea of the widespread popularity of his method 'of, supcessfullyj combatting disease. l On the occasion mentioned, Mr. Webb's appropriately furnished rooms m Colombo-street North were filled with patients, and every minute saw the number increasing. From the tone of the numerous authentic testimonials.. received by Mr. Webb from persons m almost every part of the colony, who hayobeen, cured hy his S3 r stem of herbal and vege: table treatment, it appears that the .cur es, effected. hate created a sensation amongst trlbia who. have had them brought under their notice/ lii all over nine thousand cases have:been dealt with- by'his system ,of .treatment. vthroughoutr' Ijfew. Zealand, and during the eighteen months Mr. Webb has been establishe^'in this; city ho has. keated close nton fifteen hundred cases. One strong feature othjs system! is that it does, away with Tche necessity for surgical operations m a. large 1 nnmber of cases .where 1 such opdratious are usually considered necessary. He has removed .from the human body various growths which are usually only removed by means of operations. J The esteem m which Mr. Webb is held by his patients m this city was shown on Monday afternoon, when about one hundred patients and ex-patients waited on him and presented him with an illuminated address and a gold medal. The address, Afrhich fs. artistically dosigued, and is signed by 83 persons who have been beftefittcd by Mr. Webb's' system of treatment, refers to Mr. Webb's skilful and valuable services performed m. this city and district during tho past tWelve months. Of some of the cases dealt with tho. signatories deem it no exaggeration, to say that they border on the miraculous ; m some instances complaints of tweniy years' standing have been cured; and m others he has been successful where medical practitioners have given.them up as incurable. Recognition is also made of the maaiy gratuitous services rendered by Mr. Webb to persons m straitened circunistauees who bava received his special attention and care, altogether apart from any mercenary considerations. The gold medal which accompanied the address bore the inscription: — " To F. Webb, from his patients m Christchurch." Mr. Webb is leaving on a ten days' visit to Wellington, where there are one hundred patients requiring his attention. — " The Press." F. WEBB, HERBAL SPECIALIST. Box 384 G.P.0., Wellington.
