The Northern Boxing Association, at Auckland, had abandoned the idea of matching Bob Turner against Ross the reason being that the Association cannot procure a suitable hall. The Wellington Boxing Association have not yet abandoned its intention of arranging for the meeting of two well-known Australian cracks. The name of Monte Andrews has been mentioned, and it is not at all improbable that he will be invited to Wellington to try conclusions with the winner of the Turner-Tracy contest, which takes place at Christchurch on November 29. Messrs McG-avin and Co.'s Dunedin Prize Ale and Stout are a feature of Wellington's wet supplies at present. McGavin's ale is recognised as one of the finest ales brewed m the colonies, possessing a beautiful richness m flavor and a fine full body. No stout on the market can give McG-avin' s points m nutritive qualities, and it has been highly recommended by doctors all over New Zealand for use , by invalids.
