THE YOUNG POLE OF WARSAW.
There was a Young Pole of Warsaw, Who studied bqt'h sci-sneft^nd law I. He was a great cheniist, Also an Extremist,; And hated a man who said "Haw!" When the 'Czar sent a- man who said "Haw !" To govern "his" town of. Warsaw, It just grieved to the soul This remarkable Pole, Who at first thought, "I think I'll withdraw." .■ But— as, no doubt, you'll lie glad to find- -, He suddenly altered his mind ; "Ke may.be a terror (He said), but no error, ■ But he won't find the Poles very kind!" Meantime the big p;un who said "Haw!" Decided to "uphold the Law" (With .a fun. and a sword, And the bullets they'd stored) In the peaceable town of Warsaw. He was never seen maw— Though they picked up a piece of his jaw, And they knew it was his By the way the bone riz, Where he used it (m life) to say 1 "Haw!"
