WELCOME TO THE NEW MINISTRY.
The demonstration of . welcome to be 'given to the new Ministry at the Town Hall on Monday evening promises to be the biggest thing of the kind yet. undertaken m Wellington. The Committee met at G-odber's Rooms last evening attd the secretary (Mr C. J. Pfaff) reported that all arrangements were completed, and a success of the welcome was confidently anticipated. The programme ' appears m another page of this paper and reference to< it will show that the very best talent'hasbeen secured for the occasion. Late* trains will run on both lines to suit the country people and the incoming ;train from the Hutt will stop at -the Fire Brigade station. Everybody should secure their tickets to:day and so avoid the crush at the . The Executive will meet at the Town Hall by 7 p.m. so as to be ready to show visitors to their seats. Each member of the executive •will wear a distinguishing badge ot red, white and blue, and by this means they will be easily recognised. One .shilling only will be charged for admission, so that nobody will need ;to stay away on that account.
