The new workmen's cottages, just completed at Heretaunga, Petone, will be open to applicants on the 10th of this. month, the right of application extending to the 15th. The applicant has the right of a 50 years' lease, with the option of a further renewal for "5O years or freehold. The cottages are of five rooms each with all conveniences, and comprise seven different designs.
