No matter the name tlrat they bear, No matter the character neither, North Palmerston slops are the rummiest cops On earth or m Paradise either. They've plenty of airs but sorra the graces, And, by the great horn spoon, what sort theiir faces !
He's on his own, m lonely charge, This gallant cop Stagpoole ; He keeps the peace—and pieces, too— He isn't any fool. If talking to him, don't say "morgue" For, tear y,ou hear him howl '■'You dorg 1"
