WELLINGTON SAILORS' REST.

The Superintendent and Committee of this excellent institution are desirious of expressing their thanks to •Miss Cohen, who organised a delight* ful concert at the Rest, on Monday evening, and to her clever - assistants m the kindly labor of love, Misses Spencer, Arnold, Cable and Ewen, Messrs Citron, Wolfgang and Jacobs^ Apnlause was generous during the evening and at its close a hearty vote of thanks was passed to the honorary entertainers. No better work could be engaged m by those gifted with talents calculated to amuse and hold the attention of the otherwise lonely sojourners m a city where they are all strangers and subjected to temptations to spend the timq much less safely and profitably, and "Truth" commends it to all local amatpurs of every social degree. Mr Superintendent Peart I will be glad to hear from them.
