James Green, Hunterville,— No such sum as 2s each was ever paid m Australia for rabbit scalps. Cannot" say by whom rabbits were first imported into Australia, but know that several "squattahs" from the "dean old Mothah Country" did so to provide hunting. The same reason that a Victorian, ruffian imported foxes, which , have become such a scourge to settlers, and particularly to poultry breeders. It is many years since, rabbits were protected—if they ever were, which is extremely doubtful. Cannot undertake to answer queries by mail. \
