The Blue Funnel ship Idomeneus was afire while en route from Sydney to Melbourne on Sunday. After being Extinguished, the fire broke out again fin Melbourne. Several firemen and stevedores were overcome by ammonia fumes, and were taken, to hospital. The Idomeneus was only delivered by the builders to her owners, Messrs Alfred Holt and Co., Livrepool, at the end of August, and is on her maiden voyage. She as the latest in motor ship®, and has a sea-going speed of 15 knots.
