PROPERTIES DEPRECIATED
ODOURS FROM SEPTIC TANK COMPENSATION AWARDED. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, December 3. The Compensation Court awarded £2200 to seven claimants against tho Northcote Borough Council for depreciation of their properties caused by the odours from a septic tank. Mr Justice Ostler said the substantial benefit derived from the discontinuance of drainage into the sand on the beach was not great enough to balance the depreciation surrounding the properties caused by tho escape of smells from tho tank.
