When Gene Tunney, newly-crowned heavyweight champion of the world, returned to New York, his home town,he was given* an enthusiastic reception. He was met by a Marine Guard, which escorted him to roe City Hall, where he was received by Mayor Walker, with whom he is seen reviewing the Marine guard of honour. During the war Tunney served with the Marine Guards, which thus did him honour.
