Baddeley, Minister of Labour, arrived at a settlement of the dispute, and the men will resume work to-morrow. ' The terms of settlement will be presented to a meeting of men to-night for ratification. CONGESTION""OF SHIPPING SYDNEY, December 2. As a result of the crane drivers’ strike there has been considerable congestion of oversea Htnniers at Sydney. A number of them usually proceed to Newcastle for bunkers, but until the cessation of the strike they will have to coal here. Practically all the coal used for hunkering purposes in Sydney comes from the South Cpast mines, which are not affected by the strike.
