ELECTRICAL ENERGY
EXCHANGE OF AREAS CITY AND HUTT VALLEY COMPROMISE. The amicable relations existing between .the various local bodies in Wellington is reflected by the reciprocal arrangements made at last night’s meeting )of the City Council in respect to the supply of electrical energy. It was decided on the recommendation of the power stations and tramways committee that the recommendation of the general manage rof the electricity department with reference to an exchange of an area with the Hutt Valley Electric Power Board whereby the Wellington City Council retains the right to supply electrical energy tc the municipal abattoirs and quarrv in exchange for the right to the Hu{t Valley Power Board to supply another area specified, be approved, and teat’ all necessary steps be taken to give effect to the matter.
