'Hie Queen has set a new fashion, or, rather, revived an old one, by taking to wearing a Shetland shawl. Her Majesty used to don them some years ago, but then put them aside. The great thing about Shetland shawls is that no two of them are alike, so that one cannot have the dissatisfaction of getting a beautiful pattern only to find one’s pet enemy wearing a similar thing; It is said, but has never been proved, so far as one knows, that a couple Of pounds of the yarn used will stretch to a distance of 30 miles.
