LOST MANY CHANCES
MAORI TEAM IN ENGLAND A CRITICAL REVIEW. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, November 30. In. reviewing the Maoris’ tour the “Daily News” says:—“Surely no side ever wasted so many opportunities. It is no exaggeration to say that in tho last eight matches at lenst two tries per match wero thrown away through mistakes at the crucial moment when the opposition was thoroughly beaten. “It is a remarkable fact that the dropped goal scored against Leicester was the only one of t-lie tour. It was the pnlv real attempt, to bring off such a score. The Maoris have been strangely indifferent to the tactical side of the game.”
