SUICIDE AT PETONE
MAN TAKES POISON A married man, Percival Wilton Curtis, employed by the Hutt Valley Eleotrio Power Board, and living at 16, Bridge street, Lower Hutt, was found by his wife at 7 a.m. yesterday lying on the floor of a garage on hfs premises in a dying oonditioh. Dr. Na?h, of Lotwer Hutt, was immediately summoned and treated the patient for podtonihg, but in spite <;f his efforts Curtis died at 9 a.m. It is understood that he had ria&tt eatlitr than usual, and had informed his wife that he was going to work in the gatdeii. When his wife rose later and discovered the deceased was not in the house, she made a search, and found him in the condition stated .above. An inquest was held before Mr J. H. Fallen, who found that the deceased died from the effects of poison, selfadministered. The evidence snowed that the deceased had been in a state of ill-health for some .time pasL.
