SCHOOL BAZAAR
The annual bazaar of St. Mark’s School was held yesterday, the proceeds being in aid of the playground fund. The stalls were in charge of the following;—Produce, Mrs Rosenberg; mothers’ stall, Mesdames Madeley, Grove, Redward; dolls, school; cakes. Mesdames Roberts, Mann, Croll, and Mason; paper stall, school; fancy, Mrs Lewis, Mibs Lewis; calendar, Mrs Whiteacre, Misa B. Holm; Christmas tree, Mrs Sullivan; fathers’ stall, Mr and Mrs Falconer; flowers, school; icecream, Mrs Taylor, Miss Beck; sweets, old pupils; tea rooms, Mesdames Beales, Murdock, Grant, Martin. In the evening a playlet; “Crowning tho Flower Queen,” was given by tho children (written by Mr L.F. Watkins), which was very prettily acted. Eleanor' Whiteacre was the snowdrop queen, and Helma Tumlaw the retiring queen; May Martin was a fairy, and tho children enacted flowers. The whole was most successful, and will be repeated to-night.
