SOUTH WELLINGTON SCHOOL COMMITTEE

At the last monthly meeting of the South Wellington School Committee the headmaster (Mr Thomas) reported that the attendance was 715 (average 112 per cent.). The chairman and Mr Bedingfield reported on their interview with the Minister of Educa(ion regarding subsidy for the playground improvement, and said they bad met with a favourable reception. A motion was carried thanking the South Wellington Social Club for the interest they are taking in the welfare of the school, and for their donation of £ls to the playground improvement scheme, this being their seroml one to the scheme within the last three months^
