CHIEF RESEARCH OFFICER PROFESSOR COXDLIFFE APPOINTED. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, November 29. Professor J. B. Condliffe. dean of the faculty cf commerce and law at Canterbury College, has been appointed chief research officer of the Institute of Pacific Relations. It is understood that the appointment is for three years, and the salary is a particularly substantial one. The headquarters of the Institute will be at Honolulu. Professor Condliffe hns made a life study of Pacific problems, and at the beginning of this year attended a conference representing all countries of the Pacific at Honolulu.
