SUIT REJECTED YOUNG MAN ATTEMPTS SUTCIDF. Per Press Association. GISBORNE, November 29. “The accused is a resident of Auckland, and had fallen violently in love with a girl up there. She did not return his affections, but came to Gisborne, .and he followed and went to see her. She was busy at the time and refused to seo him, whereupon he slashed his wrist with a razor,” said Sergeant Fitzpatrick in outlining the case against a youth of 19 years of age, charged in tho Police Court this morning with attempted suicide. The accused had since written from the hospital threatening suicide, and the medical superintendent had refused to take further responsibility. The accused said that the letter was merely a bluff.
