ELECTION OF COUNCIL In connection with 'the first election of members of the council of the University of New Zealand by members of the Court of Convocation, the New Zealand University Amendment Act, 3926, comes into force on January Ist, 1927, and an election of five members of the council by members of the convocation will be held in January. An olhcial notification of the fact will be mado bv advertisement early in January, but’the following imormation is given in the interest of those concerned : Nominations will cluse at ,1 o'clock on the atfernoon of January 10th, 1927, and must be forwarded to the Registrar of tho University, who is the returning officer. Nomination forms -may be obtained from the University Office, Wellington. These must be signed bv the nominator, nnd must: also bear the consent. of tho candidate in writing. As soon as possible after the close nt' nominations voting-papers will be posted to the members of convocation, a roll of which is nt present being made up. and these voting-papers ought to be returned to the University Office before 5 p.m. on January 21st. 3927.
