The previous week's figures are given in parentheses. As will bo seen, there has been no alteration in tho. total figures during the past week, and diphtheria and pneumonia appear to be on tho downward grade. Scarlet fever is still very prevalent, however Tnranaki-llorowhenua. let fever 5 (2;. diphtheria 6 (8), enteric lever 1 (0), tuberculosis 1 (1), erysipelas 1 (.0), pneumonia 2 (2), puerperal fever 1 (0). Wair&rupa-East Cape—ls (20). Scarlet fever 3 (1), diphtheria 4 (6), enteric fever 5 (6), tuberculosis 1 (2), pneumonia 2 (4), erysipelas 0 (1). Central Wellington—ls (12). Scarlet fever 7 (9), diphtheria 3 (2), tuberculosis 2 (0), puerperal fever 3 (0), enteric fever 0 (T), pneumonic influenza 0 (1). Nolson-Marlborough— 0 (2). Diphtheria Total —47 (47).
