MOSCOW LOOKSPROSPEROUS MARKED CHANGE IN TWO YEARS CLOTHING PRICES HIGH. Australian and N Z. Cable Association. (Received November 27, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, November 26. Writing from Moscow, the “Daily
Express” special correspondent says that remarkable changes have occurred during the two years since his last visit, when 30 per cent, of the shops had their shutters up. To-day there were no unoccupied sites in the business centre. Milliners offer the latest Paris creations, and the State wine shops stock pre-war Scotch and the best vintages of champagne. There is considerable luxury in clothing. Prices are high. A tailormade suit of English cloth costs £SO. There seems to be an abundant supply of ordinary comestibles at reasonable prices.
Hundreds of motor-cars have reappeared, and entertainments are numerous.
