(Received November 27, 5.5 p.m.) GENEVA, November 26. The police broke into the luxurious flat of Helene Mottier, a beautiful bank secretary, and seized 59 Parisian gowns, 61 hats, 15 pairs of gloves, and large boxes full of lingerie. Helene was recently sentenced to imprisonment for 18 months for forgeries and frauds involving £BOOO sterling and extending over ten years. It is stated that Helene never wore a gown more than three times, and she was considered the best-dressed woman in Geneva. She had refused many offers of marriage from wealthy men.
