MAHANA REPORTS. The master of the steamer Mahana has advised the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company by radio that the vessel is due at Auckland on Thursday, December 2nd. The vessel has cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington and New Plymouth, and is due here about December 9tli. THE OOLAC'S'VOYAGE. After medical inspection in the stream the steamer Colac, which arrived at Auckland from Montreal on Tuesday afternoon, berthed at the King’s wharf. Tho vessel, which was formerly a unit of the Australian Commonwealth Line, was sold to the Huddart, Parker Co., after lying idle at Falmouth for fifteen months. From Falmouth sho proceeded to Sydney, Cape Breton, where sho commenced loading rails and other iron products. She next proceeded to Montreal for further loading, and filled up with tobacco and also bunkered at Newport News. When a day’s steam from Colon, the vessel picked up a ship’s boat, containing the captain and three seamen from the schooner Joseph Whitaker, which had been lost in a hurricane two days previously. Colon was reached on October 38th, and transit through the Panama Canal obtained on the following day. In the Pacific fine weather prevailed to Pitcairn Island and tlien strong head winds and a high swell were encountered. -The Colac left Auckland on Saturday for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin, and is duo here to-morrow.
