MONSIGNOR BURKE l’. A.—Extraordinary. INY IiItCARGILL, November 28. i The death occurred suddenly at S o’clock to-night of Monsignor Burke. He had climbed a hill at Bluff during the afternoon, and on his return to Invercargill complained of feeling ill, and ho died before a doctor arriced. Monsignor Burke, who was 70 years old, was one of the best known of tbe Roman Catholic clergy in New Zealand. He had recently returned from a trip to Italy, where the Pope conferred on him the title of Monsiguor.
