“A TRIP TO CHINATOWN”
J>E LUXE THEATRE FRIDAY. Tho De Luxe Theatre will on Friday, December 3rd, commence screening the comedy of comedies. “A Trip to Chinatown,” being the rollicking, thrilling picture version of the worldfamed play by Charles Hoyt, with a, cast comprising Margaret Livingston, Earle Foxe, Anna May Wong, Marie Astaire, J. Farrell MacDonald, and Hazel Howell, am! a cast of American beauties. The entertainment value of this picture is several hundred pares ahead of the stage piece. It is one hilarious howl from start to the finish. The story is concerned with the complications that arise when a beautiful willow invites a young millionaire, who imagines himself an invalid, to take her on a sight-seeing trip through the Chinese quarters. Every element o-f tho production blends into perfect comedy—the situations themselves, tho manner in whieh Director Robert Kerr has developed them, and tho interpretations which tho cast has imparted to each character. Try to recall the funniest picture you ever saw. multiply the humour hy ten and vou will he somewhere near an estimate of what you can expect when you see “A Trip to appreciate how the original stage piece was hailed everywhere as tho greatest, comedv of nil time. The picture is most certainly among the most, laughable farces ever screened. The box plans arc at the Bristol Piano Co. and Aitkeu's Book Arcade.
