“ELIZA COMES TO STAY” END OF SUOCESSFCL SEASON. “Eliza Comes te Stay,” the brilliant (comedy success at the Grand Opera House, was performed for the last time by the Joseph Cunningham Comedy Company on Saturday night. This performance maked the end of a highly successful season in this city. Few people who saw the plays presented by this company will ever forget the splendid acting of the performers, especially the beautiful Zillah Bateman, who was the life and soul of each piece. A large audience witnessed the final performance, which was well applauded by all present. Messrs Dick White and Eric Edglev, under whose auspices the company is touring New Zealand, announce a provincial tour, commencing at Hawera next Thursday, December 2nd, when “The Unfair Sex” will be staged. This will.be followed by visits to New Plymouth, Friday and Saturday, December 3rd and 4tli; Hawera ((return visit), Alonday, December 6th, “Eliza Comes to Stay”; Palmerston North, Tuesday and Wednesday, December 7th and Bth; Wanganui, Thursday and Friday, December 9th and 10th. At each place “The Unfair Sex” will Ire the opening performance, and on the second night “Eliza domes to Stay” will be staged. A season at His Majesty's Theatre, Auckland, will follow, and the Christmas and New Year seasons will l>e played at tho Christchurch Theatre Royal. The scenery and appointments as used at the Grand Opera House, Wellington, will bo taken in thei rentirety to the different towns visited, and patrons may look forward to tho productions being presented m the same efficient manner as they were at Wellington.
