Delegates to the annual conference of the New Zealand Chamber of Commerce were yesterday afternoon taken for a trip round the harbour as the guests of the Wellington Harbour Board. They wore shown the various departments of the board’s operations and wore much impressed by all that they saw. Numerous arrangements have been made for pleasure and sight-seeing for the visitors lor to-day and to-morrow, including motor drives, theatres, visits to bowling greens and visits down tho Hutt Valley. The Jvaiapoi Woollen Manufacturing Company, Ltd., have just received tho gratifying news from the Minister for Industries, the Hon. A. D. McLeod, that they havo been awarded a medal for their exhibit of woollen goods in (he Canadian National Exhibition, 'l oronlo. r J he Minister also thanks the Kaiapoi Woollen Manufacturing Company. Ltd., for the assistance rendered in making the display, which he says vva.s material factor in the success of the New Zealand section of the Exhibition.
