POEM
THE FAIRY GIFTED. You look in the scullery— She’s there:—by the sink. I She’s washing and wiping " The dishes, I think. 1 And while she is working j 1 She’s singing away. t She seems to be singing The whole of the day. h It’s dark in the scullery, The window is smali, n You cannot think why she 1 Is singing at all! s The sun’s in the garden. o But she’s kept indoors, . <’ A-nccling potatoes And scrubbing the floors! a I’ll toll you a secret | 5(And she doesn’t know). 11 Hut—she’s Fairy-Gifted! d I know that is so. t And one day she’ll find t If she searches with care, A door that she’ll open And Fairyland's there!’’ —MARION
