The newest boutonniere is made of tiny blossoms cut from the same material as the frock itself. In the evening a novel nosegay touch is seen in the chiffon flowers that are tucked into a velvet neckband. For wear with an all-black tailleur, there are buttonhole flowers made of crystals. Or, pour changer, one may wear a white (or red) moire fob with a crystal seal attached. The crystal craze is also illustrated in ornamental buttons on coats and frocks alike. A new hat shape that is causing something of a sensation is the “witch” model—an exact replica of the “Welsh** witch’s headgear—terrifically high * crowned. Some of these crowns end in a sharp point to be completely
in the picture. But most of them are modified to squareness at the top. In de luxe models a diamond monogram adorns the quaint crown. An intriguing new lingerie note is found in the last-word pyjamas of fine black lac© that wore the pride of ono recent lingerie display. There are also lace and taffetas suits, tho taffetas being used as trimming at neck and ankles. 1 am assured on the highest authority, as they say iu political circlcß, that veils are coming in again. They will l»o of extremely fine mesh, with a couple of chenille “blobs” placed so cunningly as to play tlie role of beauty spots*
