WANT STRIKE CALLED OFF
FEILDING RESOLUTION UNIONISTS READY TO WORK. Per Press Association. FEILDING, November 25. A full meeting of the Feilding branch of the Freezing Workers’ Union last night passed a motion by 46 votes to 24, “That this branch recommend the Hawko’s Bay workers that the demand for increase of wages at the present time is inopportune and that the strike be called off, and that this resolution be referred to all branches throughout New Zealand*” The local works opened this morning with voluntary labour, and it is understood that the unionists will be prepared to begin aa soon as other branches are notified.
