Tne following resolutions were adopted by the meeting:— “Txiat this meeting of representatives of primary producers supports the attituue of tue xreezmg companies m resisting the demands oi the freezing Workers’ federation lor increases in rates of pay on the award now cur-, rent.” “That this meeting undertakes to use every effort to supply the men neoessary to carry on operations in the event oi the union officials failing to do so.” It was stated that already substantial offers of assistance have been re- 1 ceived from country districts throughout Canterbury should the trouble extend to the bouth Island.
