ENGLISH TREES FOR CANBERRA
SUGGESTION TO MR BRUCE Australian and N Z. Cable Assoointion, (Received November 24, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, November 24. It is understood that a proposal was made to Mr Bruce, who submitted it to his Cabinet, that the Duke and Duchess of York plant at Canberra four English tree seedlings from Kew Gardens, to form the nuclei of four coppices. Dr. Hills, Curator of Kew Gardens, is enthusiastic over the scheme, and has undertaken to select the trees. Air Bruce is awaiting his Cabinet’s reply.
