In continuation of her voyage from Pacific Coast ports, the American steamer West Henshaw is due at Napier today from Auckland, and leaves on Saturday for Lyttelton and Dunedin, to complete her discharge. THE CANADIAN SCOTTISH. The Canadian Government Line advise that the steamer Canadian Scottish arrived at Lyttelton yesterday from Wellington, and leaves to-day to complete discharge and commence loading at Timaru and Dunedin. She returns to Wellington on December 2nd, and later proceeds to Napier, thence Auckland, to complete loading. She is scheduled to clear Auckland finally on December 7th for New York, Boston, and Halifax. OTAKI FOR SOUTH. At present discharging Liverpool cargo at Wellington, the Federal S.N. Company's steamer Otaki leaves at noon to-day for Lyttelton, theneo Dunedin, to complete. THE CITY OF CANTON. Tho A. and A. Line advise that tho steamer City of Canton cleared Dunedin at 5 p.m. on Tuesday for Portland (Victoria), where she completes her discharge ,of New York cargo. TAINUI AT LYTTELTON. To complete her discharge of London cargo, the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company advise that the liner Tainui arrived at Lyttelton yesterday from Dunedin. Her loading programme has not yet been announced. TAMAROA SAILS. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company's linei* Tamaroa sailed from Wellington yesterday morning for Southampton and London, via Panama and Curacao. MAMARI FOR TIMARU. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company's steamer Mamari leaves Wellington to-day for Timaru, thence Bluff, Wellington (December sth to 10th), and Port Chalmers, to complete loading for Home. She is scheduled to sail finally from Port Chalmers on December 17th for London, via Capo Horn. TO COMPLETE~LbADING. The C. and D. Lino motor-ship Port Hobart leaves Wellington at 1 p.m. today for Napier, where she completes loading, and finally departs on November 30th for London, via Panama. MAHENO FOR WELLINGTON. The Union Company's passenger steamer Maheno left Melbourne yesterday for Wellington, where she is due on Monday next. She sails from here tho following day for Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff, and Melbourne. TItBGENNA DUE SATURDAY. To continue her discharge of New York cargo, tho A. and A. Lino advise that the steamer Tregenna left Auckland yesterday for Wellington and is due here on Saturday. Em route from Southampton to New Zealand, the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company's liner Mataroa left Balboa on Monday evening for Wellington, where 6he is due on December 12th to disembark her Wellington and South Island passengers. She leaves tho following evening for Auckland, to commence her discharge of cargo and to disembark her Auckland passengers. She atferwards returns to Wellington to complete discharge. „ PANAMA. Cable advice received by the New Zealand Shipping Company states that the steamer Rimutaka arrived at Panama on November 21st and sailed again the following day. Tho vessel loaded in New Zealand and left Auckland on October 26th for Loffdon. COLAC FOR WELLIN GTON. The New Zealand Shipping Company advise that, the steamer Colac leaves Auckland to-morrow for Wellington and is due here on Monday. She later proceed* to Lyttelton, theneo Dunedin, to complete her discharge of Canadian, cargo.
THE RIO CLARO’S MISHAP. After being ashore on Scott Reef, off Cairns, Queensland, for over a month, the steamer Rio Claro, which made a trip to Auckland under charter to the Commonwealth and Dominion Lino, was retloated and docked at Sydney this month. As a result of the examination it was found that tho damage, though not so serious as at first anticipated, will cost in the vicinity of 0620,090 to repair. Th© Rio Claro was altogether 40 days on the reef, and in the meantime 30,000 cases of kerosene and benzine were jettisoned, and 12,000 cases were lightered ashore One of the same company’s ships was standing by for 17 days, and, in addition, there was the cost of two salvage tugs, the Coringa and Forceful, which were sent front Brisbane to the scene, and eventually towed the Rio Claro clear of tho reef. THE WILLESDEN. Tho Willesden arrived in the stream at 1.50 o'clock yesterday afternoon 'from Westport to complete loading coal for the Argentine. She took in most of her cargo at Westport, but could not complete as the harbour would not accommodate the vessel fully laden. The remainder of the coal is expected to arrive on Saturday, and she will sail early next week for Buenos Aires. AORANGFS PASSENGERS. The R.M.M.S. FIRST “BRACKETLESS" TANKER. After a highly-successful maiden round voyage, tjia British Inventor, the first Isherwood “bracketless" tanker, has returned to England. On tho outward trip, in ballast, she experienced heavy weather, during which tho bulkheads and decks were carefully examined by the ship's officers, but no sign of weakness or leakage could be found. On her return to Grangemouth, a further thorough examination was made a 6 far as was practical by the owners, the builders, and the experts of Sir Joseph AV. Isherwood, Bart., and the vessel was then found in first-class condition and ready for sea again. No repairs .of even a minor character were required.
