SHOCKING TRAGEDY

TERRIBLY INJURED FARMER’S END. Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, November 24. A shocking tragedy is reported from Waihoaka. J. W. Erskine, a farmer, 60 years of age, was found dead with terrible injuries caused by an explosion. At an inquest a verdict was returned of death from an explosion selfcaused while the deceased was in a state of depression. He leaves a widow and a grown-up family.
