OLD BOYS’ DAY
ATHLETICS AND SPORTS. Old i.o.ys of Wellington College are reminded of the annual field day, with lue present pupils, which will take • •.c? next Tuesday (St. Andrew’s Day) on the college grounds, commencing at 9.30 a.m. This event, which was inaugurated in 1913 by Mr M. C. Barnett, is always a very enjoyable one, and the contests at cricket, tennis, shooting, running and swimming help to maintain interest, not only in the school, but also in the Old Boys’ Association. Last year the attendance at luncheon numbered 180, and 550 were present at afternoon tea. Old boys are requested to give this outing their whcle-hearted support and to invite their lady friends to join them at afternoon tea.
