CAPTURED BY TWO WOMEN ALARM BELl" ON TILL. “'I just did it on the spur of the moment, said Prank Blaekham, aged 32, to Mr E. Page, S.M., at the Magistrate’s Court yesterday, when he was charged with stealing 10s in money from Louie Francis. Accused admitted stealing the money. Chief-Detective Ward stated that the Misses Francis kept a small confectioner’s shop in Cambridge terrace. They had had money stolen from the till three times during the past fortnight, and had fixed an alarm bell on it. When the bell sounded on Monday night both ladies rushed out and found Blaekham there. ' The two women captured him, locked the door, and held him a prisoner until the police could be sent for, and finally handed him over to the police. Accused was sentenced to three months hard labour.
