GREAT BATTLE WITH GALE

LINER’S FUEL EXHAUSTED PORT REACHED SAFELY. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. VICTORIA (8.C.), November 22. AVith fuel completely exhausted, after battling with a storm in the North Pacific, the liner Yoseric, from Mackav, Queensland, to Vancouver with sugar, limped into Victoria on Monday with expiring fires in her furnaces. A terrific gale was running on November 13th, and continued for a week with dwindling force, which entailed an unusual demand on her coal supplies, and it became necessary to augment them from lumber kept for repairs. The ship was not damaged.
