DENTIST’S CLAIM
DISPUTE OVER ACCOUNT Owing to a refusal to pay the full amount of a dentist’s bill on the ground of excessive charge, Dr. A. N. Jones took action against E. Cannon* a the Magistrate’s Court yesterday for £5 os for professional serrices to defendant’s wife. The plaintiff’s case, as outlined by Mr F. T. Clere. was that Mrs Cannon* made thirteen appointments for the extraction of teeth and the fitting of ft false sev. She was in a delicate state of health, and sneciai
care had to be exercised during the operations. Plaintiff made her a set of teeth, which, owing to the state ot her health, sho was unable to wear successfully, and he took them back again without charge. In evidence, the defendant’s wife said that she had a set of teeth made for her by another dentist and had been charged £lO 10s, the extractions being free. In his decision, the magistrate gave judgment for £2 10s.
