STEEL BY A NEW PROCESS
PATENTED BY GERMAN TRUST GREAT POSSIBILITIES. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. BERLIN, November 21. The German dye trust is patenting a process for chemically converting iron into steel, which will be cheaper, harder, and more elastic, as well as being freer from impurities than is the case with the usual methods of smelting. It is hoped that the process will ensure Germany a dominating position on the world’s market.
