LAST WEEK’S FIGURES DIPHTHERIA AND SCARLET FEVER STILL LEAD. The following is the bulletin of infectious diseases for the week ending November 22nd, 1926. The previous week’s figures are given in parentheses. As will be seen from the totals there was very little_ alteration during last week. Diphtheria and scarlet fever are still extremely prevalent. Taranaki-Horowhenua, 13 (11). — Scarlet fever, 2 (1); diphtheria, 8 (3); tuberculosis, 1 (2); pneumonia, 2 (2); enteric fever, 0 (2); erysipelas, 0 (1). Wairarapa-East Cape. 20 (18). — Scarlet fever, 1 (4): diphtheria. 6 (6); enteric fever. 6 (5); tuberculosis, 2 (2); pneumonia, 4 (1); erysipelas, 1 (0).
