CYCLIST LOSES LICENSE INSPECTOR UNABLE TO CATCH urn. Per Press Association. j CHRISTCHURCH, Novewtier 22. ' Charles BlackJoek, aged 20 years, will not be riding a motor-cycle again until 1928. Mr Young, S.M., decided that that was a necessary restriction to place on Blaekloek’s activities after he heard the details of ?.u episode in his motoring career at the court this morning. Blaekioek pleaded guilty to a charge of riding a motor-cycle at night without lights, and a further charge of riding at a dangerous speed. Mr Loughnnn, who appeared for the .council, said Inspector Cross accosted the defendant near East Belt, and pointed out that his light was not burning. When the inspector drew beside him, the defendant accelerated, and although th© inspector was clocking 43 miles an hour he was not able to catch his man. Later on inquiries were made, and Hie defendant was located by the police.
