A Press Association message from Christchurch states that after 50 years of service in the Methodist Church, the Rev. Samuel- Lawry, of Christchurch, is retiring from the active ministry. He has a reoord of 34 years as a circuit minister, ana 16 years as connexional secretary for New Zealand. Mr J. A. Strang and Mr Wm. Greig have been appointed visiting justices to Wi Toko Prison, Trentham.
