TEAMS SHOW GOOD FORM The grand carnival at St. Francis’ Hall, mil street, continues to be a huge success. The organisation is well handled, items of interest following without pause. Dancing displays by the pupils of Wellington teachers caused much applause, and reflect great credit on those responsible. “The Grand Spectacular Military Manoeuvres” is a special feature. The monster tug-of-war creates the greatest interest At last night s entertainment Bennett’s team (Karori) overcame Tagney’s team after an exciting pull, winning by three inches. O’Grady’s team succeeded in defeating Munt, Cottrell's team by one inch. The narrow margin shows the even matching of the two teams. The many side shows continue to attract tho public.
